kim_and_mackenziePresenter Kim Robinson (Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Resort) and Speaker MacKenzie Nelson (Blood Donor Specialist) with the American Red Cross

MacKenzie Nelson with the American Red Cross stressed the importance of donating blood because of the cancelations in the East. Hurricane Sandy has forced the cancelation of about 300 American Red Cross blood drives resulting in a blood shortfall of about 9,000 blood and platelet donations.

All blood types are needed to ensure an adequate blood supply during a disaster. Please call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information.
