tomshawnShawn Alleman, Coordinator for the IVCH Pulmonary Rehab Program, delivered an enlightening presentation to us.  A rapidly growing number of individuals suffering from COPD are getting help from Shawn and his team.
At IVCH, their modo is "Breathing should be the easiest thing in the world".  And they are dedicated to helping people regain this as best as they can.  In addition, individuals will learn how to maintain a healthier lifestyle through the program.
Shawn emphasized that as we age, any discomfort or declines in health should not be written off as being due to "old age" or "normal".  Any condition such as shortness of breath, speaking in choppy sentences, bending over onto folded arms, headaches or anything else out of the ordinary should be reviewed by a professional for proper guidance.
